THINGS THAT COME TO MIND

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Is there a minimum contribution I must make to the scholarship fund?
There is no minimum amount.

How do you ensure integrity of your organization?

The board has a process in place that ensures checks and balances, all funds are voted on before any expenditures are made and the Chairman and Treasurer have co-signature requirements for disbursements over certain dollar amounts.

What kinds of students/schools do you target?

We serve the students of Prince Georges’ County.  We do not target any schools, we provide the awarded scholarship(s) to the school selected and accepted by the student.

Are contributions tax-deductible?

Yes! Your contributions are indeed tax deductible.

What percent of funds contributed go to funding scholarships?

98%!  The board does have administrative and operating cost.  All members of the board are volunteers.

The board also sponsors Project Enrich, which is a college preparatory program for high school students.  See our site for more detailed information about the program.
